Supplier invitation
How a customer invites one of its suppliers to join VendorLogic, and what the supplier sees on the invitation link.
A customer with invitations.supplier invites a supplier it buys from (POST /v1/customer/supplier-invitations). The supplier gets an email with /supplier-invitation/<token>.
What the page does#
- Shows who invited them and the business, without needing sign-in.
- Signed out: sign in or create an account first.
- Signed in with a business: Accept (confirms for the user's own business) or, if the business is not yet a supplier, Request supplier access, which goes to staff review (Vendor onboarding).
States and errors#
Invalid or expired link: one neutral page (the API answers 410). Wrong account, unavailable invitation and already accepted each have their own message. A token never grants ownership of anything: acceptance needs a signed-in account with its own membership.
Related: /vendor-start is the similar entry for a reference who wants a supplier workspace after answering; it sends signed-out visitors to /signup?as=vendor&from=reference.
