Product guide
The public guide at /guide: what suppliers, customers and references do, in order, and where to start.
The product guide is a public page at /guide. It needs no sign-in and is the page the marketing site links to from every header.
Who can use it#
Anyone. It is read-only and holds no personal data.
What it contains#
| Section | Anchor | Steps it describes |
|---|---|---|
| For suppliers | #suppliers | create the workspace, build and publish the application, invite a customer, review, record the decision |
| For customers | #customers | open the supplier's link, prepare information, review and sign, follow the status |
| For references | #references | open the link in the request email, answer or decline |
| Common questions | #questions | who decides credit, one business as supplier and customer, pending supplier accounts |
VendorLogic does not approve credit. The supplier that receives the application decides and sets any limit and payment terms.
Who can do what#
Signing in is through Google or your company's single sign-on. What a person sees depends on their role in the business: for suppliers
Owner, Administrator, Credit manager, Salesman, Account admin or Vendor user; for customers Owner, Administrator, Buyer manager or Buyer.
Only credit managers, administrators and owners record decisions; only owners and administrators manage the team and settings.
A business administrator can also verify the business (settings, "Business verification"). The full role-by-feature picture is in
docs/flows/overview.md in the repository, and the roles page in this documentation lists each permission.
Calls to action#
- Suppliers go to
/login; Google sign-in decides new versus returning. - Customers go to
/login?next=/find-vendors, which lands on supplier search after sign-in. Old/signuplinks still work and forward to/login, keeping thenextdestination. - References who lost their email link go to
